Kahalu'u Ward Message 6/14/26
Aloha Kahalu'u Ward Family,
This week, we want to continue our invitation for our ward to come together in faith, fasting, and prayer for those in our ward family who are facing heavy trials.
There is a unique spiritual strength that is unlocked when an entire congregation goes to the Lord collectively. In a recent General Conference, we were reminded of the deep impact of turning our hearts outward to help others through this sacred principle. President Henry B. Eyring shared:
"There is a great promise, even as we do all that we reasonably can to pray, to fast, and to donate for those in need: Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy rearward."
Fasting isn't just about going without food; it is an intentional act of moving our focus from the physical needs to the spiritual, dedicating our energy entirely to pleading for comfort, healing, and peace on behalf of others. When we fast for our ward family, we are telling Heavenly Father that their burdens are our burdens, too.
Even when we cannot lift a trial completely, we can stand with others to help carry the weight. Mahalo again for your deep love, your compassion, and your willing hearts.

THE SACRED ROLE OF FATHERS AND MOTHERS
Fathers and mothers should work together to provide each of their children with a shield of faith.
Fathers are to preside in love and righteousness.
Fathers are to provide their families with the necessities of life and protection.
Mothers participate in God’s work.
Mothers are primarily responsible for the nurture of their children.
Fathers and mothers are to help one another as equal partners.
MISSIONARY CORNER
talofa lava family !! this week was actually insaneee one of the craziest of my mission thus far!
it started as a normal week then on a random friday we got a call that some elders needed to be moved out of their flat. later we found out that their house was broken into and got jumped by a couple thugs so we moved them out of the area. Everything was normal the next day... UNTIL around 8:00 we got a call from the zone leaders in that zone saying they got a text basically receiving a threat. president wasnt picking up his phone so i told them to go get their flatmates and meet us at a different flat that way theres 10 of us elders there if anything was to happen. at around 10 president called back told us not to engage the guy if he pulled up hahahaha nah the guy didnt end up coming so we had 6 elders stay at one flat then we took 2 others back to our flat.k6n for the night. never in my life did i think id have to do that on my mission
the ten elders we had there was our version of the 2000 strippling warriors and maybe we were allm9 blessed that night just like the 2000 because we followed the council of our mothers. I LOVE MY MOM shes the best mom ever words arent enough to describe the gratitude and love i have for her and i cant wait to come home and give her a hug i also have been blessed with the best aunties grandmothers, great grandmothers and alllll that im eternally grateful for all their sacrifices helping me become who i am today
This week we also did alot of planning for transfers next week it was really cool to see how everything works and i prayyyy everyone is happy with their transfer news (they were not ) anywaysss 1 more week down tryna catch up
