Kahalu'u Ward Message 6/28/26
Aloha ward family! On Friday night, I went to the Hollywood Bowl watch party for the “Songs of Hope” event with my mom. I had spent all day working and almost didn’t go, but when I saw Donny Osmond would be singing “Close Every Door to Me” and “I Am a Child of God,” I changed my mind, and I’m so glad I did! The music was SO beautiful and not your typical Tabernacle choir songs. But the overall message of HOPE was what stood out to me the most. It was exactly what the world needs right now. The program featured the words of the Savior in Matthew 25, where He speaks of feeding the hungry, healing the sick, and sheltering those without homes.
To me this is a reminder that hope is never passive…it moves us toward one another. Whatever darkness you may be walking through right now, please know that you are not alone, and you are not forgotten. At some points in our lives, it may feel impossible, but I KNOW the Savior sees you and our ward family sees you. Don’t give up; there is a light at the end of the tunnel whether we can see it yet or not, and in the meantime, we can hopefully be that light for each other!

You will also learn how to use the Covenant PathProgress report to focus your Council, Committee, and Presidency discussions on individuals entering or re-entering the path. Note that this is similar instruction to what was delivered in December 2025.

Spiritual Thought: there are two Quotes i wanted to Share from Sister Freemans talk caled "Best Days and Worst Days":
"God allows mortality to do its work in us—and that includes both best days and worst days."
Those best days and worst days are essential to our lives! Ive been able to see how much ive been able to grow and learn from both the best and worst days. Ive been able to rely on my Savior more. Especially on those bad days.
"Jesus Christ brings joy. … You might have a bad day, a bad week, or a bad year. Just remember joy is not the absence of sorrow in your life; it is the presence of Jesus Christ in your life.”
