In the final moments before His ascension, Jesus Christ gave His disciples what we call the "Great Commission." In Matthew 28:19-20, He commanded them:

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you…”

This was a clear instruction for His disciples to spread the gospel far and wide. Jesus didn’t just tell them to go, He also gave them a mission—to teach, baptize, and help others observe the teachings of the gospel. The Great Commission was not just for the apostles in ancient times. It is a call that applies to each of us today. Missionary work is not limited to the work of full-time missionaries. As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we are all called to share the gospel with those around us. In fact, the most effective way to spread the gospel is through our everyday personal example simply inviting others to learn more we know that as we work together, we will see many lives touched by the gospel of Jesus Christ. May we all feel the urgency and the joy that comes from sharing the gospel with others. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

THE SACRED ROLE OF FATHERS AND MOTHERS

Fathers and mothers should work together to provide each of their children with a shield of faith.

Fathers are to preside in love and righteousness.

Fathers are to provide their families with the necessities of life and protection.

Mothers participate in God’s work.

Mothers are primarily responsible for the nurture of their children.

Fathers and mothers are to help one another as equal partners.

MISSIONARY CORNER

talofa lava family !! this week was actually insaneee one of the craziest of my mission thus far!

it started as a normal week then on a random friday we got a call that some elders needed to be moved out of their flat. later we found out that their house was broken into and got jumped by a couple thugs so we moved them out of the area. Everything was normal the next day... UNTIL around 8:00 we got a call from the zone leaders in that zone saying they got a text basically receiving a threat. president wasnt picking up his phone so i told them to go get their flatmates and meet us at a different flat that way theres 10 of us elders there if anything was to happen. at around 10 president called back told us not to engage the guy if he pulled up hahahaha nah the guy didnt end up coming so we had 6 elders stay at one flat then we took 2 others back to our flat.k6n for the night. never in my life did i think id have to do that on my mission

the ten elders we had there was our version of the 2000 strippling warriors and maybe we were allm9 blessed that night just like the 2000 because we followed the council of our mothers. I LOVE MY MOM shes the best mom ever words arent enough to describe the gratitude and love i have for her and i cant wait to come home and give her a hug i also have been blessed with the best aunties grandmothers, great grandmothers and alllll that im eternally grateful for all their sacrifices helping me become who i am today

This week we also did alot of planning for transfers next week it was really cool to see how everything works and i prayyyy everyone is happy with their transfer news (they were not ) anywaysss 1 more week down tryna catch up
