Aloha e Kahaluʻu Ward Family,
As summer winds down and turns into fall, our schedules go back to early mornings, school pickups, sports practices, and full calendars. It is easy to feel pulled in a dozen directions at once. I just wanted to take a moment to reflect on how fast the summer and first half of the year have gone, and how fast the moments in life seem to come and go. Sometimes we wish that certain periods could last forever, or that we could go back and redo things differently, But the lord taught the principle of divine timing and season: that we must trust that the Lord guides us through each phase of life if we let Him lead our priorities. Ecclesiastes reminds us of this eternal truth:
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”— Ecclesiastes 3:1
In the April 2013 General Conference, Elder Richard G. Scott expanded on this principle to give us clarity when life feels overwhelming:
“He has spoken of a time and a season for all things. In response to our sincere prayers for guidance, He will direct us in what should be emphasized at each phase of our life. We can learn, grow, and become like Him one consistent step at a time.”
As we step into a new season, bring your daily obstacles and burdens to the Lord in prayer. Ask Him where our focus should be and what will help us —whether that's a quiet moment in the scriptures, a quick check-in with a family member or friend, or even offering yourself a bit of grace as when things feel overwhelming. We send our prayers and love to all our ward members, students, parents, educators. May the Lord grant you peace and focus in every step ahead.

TEACHING CHILDREN THROUGH EXAMPLE & INSTRUCTION
Parents are responsible to teach their children.
Parents can receive inspiration in teaching their children.
Parents teach through example and instruction.
When parents seek direction from the Lord, He will guide them in their efforts to teach their children.
Our children are influenced from a lot of outside sources, with the Lords help and council we can guide them in the right direction. Daily expression of love, communication and concern for each child is very important.

another busy week as always, on tuesday i got to go on an exchange with my son elder burgess, it was so fun working with him again. We stayed in the city, took him a bit to get used to that but once he did he balled, so proud of this guy feels like i just got him and now hes a year out
i invite you all to read 2nd nephi chapter 4 from the book of mormon, this chapter has been one of the most influential pieces of scripture for my life
