Kahalu'u Ward Message 4/26/26

Hi Kahalu'u Ward,
My name is Aden Tano and I'm the new Priest Quorum 1st Assistant so I was told that I have to write a message to the ward. Umm... a few weeks ago, my family went on a trip to Japan. We had an amazing time touring different cities, eating good food, and enjoying the Japanese culture. While on my phone, I saw a social media post pop up that quoted a Japanese legend. It goes like this:
If you get on the wrong train
Get off at the nearest station
The longer it takes you to get off
The more expensive the return trip will be
and it's not only about trains.
To me, I thought this related to the gospel. God is always waiting for us, but staying on the wrong path for too long can hurt. It costs time that we can't get back, it could hurt relationships, and it prevents us from having peace in our hearts. It's better to turn around as soon as you can than to carry the extra weight of regret later. Let's take advantage of the Jesus Christ's sacrifice for us.

MONTHLY FAMILY MESSAGE

STRENGTHEN MARRIAGES THROUGH FAITH AND PRAYER
Husbands and wives should work together to increase their Faith in Jesus Christ.
How can increase faith in the Savior help married couples strengthen their relationship with one another? They become more Christlike in their treatment of each other. They become more loving, helpful, gentle, patient and willing to listen to one another. They become more humble and willing to repent and follow the Savior's teachings. The more willing each spouse is to repent and become like the Savior, the more harmonious the marriage will be. Husband and wife are blessed when they pray together.
Gordon B Hinkley counseled: " I know of no single practice that will have a more salutary effect upon your lives than the practice of kneeling together as you begin and close each day. Somehow the little storms that seem to afflict every marriage are dissipated when, kneeling before the Lord, you thank him for one another, in the presence of one another, and together invoke his blessings upon your lives, your home, your loved ones and your dreams.
MISSIONARY CORNER
This past week was really slow because my companion was sick all week but started feeling better on Saturday so we were able to get some solid work in and get people to show up to sacrament. My week consisted of a lot of exchanges, shoutout elder miller, which allowed me to escape the house.
We had transfers this week and me and my companion found out that we are staying woohoo there is something different about this transfer though… president asked us on Sunday to meet us at his home to talk He then asked me and Elder Vili to be the new assistants to the president [AP's] Its honestly so humbling to have this opportunity to serve and grow. We are white washing in so its actually insane buuut we get to stay in the samoan program so im so grateful !! ill explain more about this week and how curazyyyy its been in my next (on time) email.
I love you all thank you for all the support, keep praying for me… hehe I need it. 74 for 74 time is tickinggg, have the best week ever !!
