Aloha Kahalu'u Ward Ohana!

It’s General Conference weekend—and somehow, it also happens to be fall break! Whew! After a hectic few months of weather, rain, flooding, and all the busyness that life seems to bring, I think many of us are feeling like we could all use a little break.

And yet, maybe that’s exactly what makes General Conference such a gift. It gives us a chance to slow down, renew, and gather our families back to what matters most. It’s an opportunity to recenter our hearts and remember that, above all else, our purpose is to come closer to our Savior, Jesus Christ.

The messages from Saturday were already so ʻono! What a beautiful reminder that the gospel can be delicious for the soul when we allow ourselves to truly feast upon it—a whole buffet of manaʻo for our spirits! Every message, testimony, and invitation can nourish us, strengthen us, and bless not only us individually, but our ʻohana as well.

As we begin this fall break, may we take the opportunity to slow down, gather our families, and make space for the final day of General Conference tomorrow. May we lean in, listen for the prophet’s voice, feast on the words of Christ, and allow the Spirit to remind us of what is truly important.

Here’s to a restful fall break—and to continuing to draw closer to our Savior, Jesus Christ.

SALT LAKE CITY TEMPLE OPEN HOUSE WED 7 OCT (Please Read!)

Aloha everyone!

The Salt Lake City Temple open house is a historic global event. The temple is complete and has already been walked through, inspected, and approved by the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve.

We just received an invitation from Elder John S.K. Kauwe, Area Seventy, United States West Area for members to watch the first episode of “Dedicate” on Wednesday, October 7 as part of the Salt Lake Temple Open House.

We know this is very short notice and that many families may already have plans for fall break, so we want to keep this simple and flexible.

We invite you to watch “Dedicate” wherever you may be on Wednesday. If you would like to make it a little more social, we encourage you to gather with friends, extended family, or other families in your district to watch together. If you're willing to host a small watch party within your district, please let your Zone know via WhatsApp.

Whether you are watching with just your family or with a larger group, we would love for you to take a picture, share your thoughts, and send it into your Zone channels in WhatsApp so we can see our ward participating together from different homes and places.

There is no pressure to host or attend a gathering. You can even do it individually—we simply hope everyone who is able will enjoy watching “Dedicate” on Wednesday.

The link to view will be shared once we receive it. Here is the link to a sneak peek of the "Dedicate" episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAci13LVNrE

Mahalo! ❤️
